About
Tyler Kendall, Project Developer at Mountainwood Homes, helps homeowners discover what’s possible for their projects.
His background as a ranch hand, construction laborer, and structural engineer gives him a deep appreciation for the hard work behind every project.
“It takes a village to get a project done,” Tyler says, emphasizing the importance of teamwork. He notes that Mountainwood’s best clients are those who trust and stick to the process, as thorough planning makes construction smoother.
The variety of projects keeps Tyler engaged, as each brings unique challenges.
“It always surprises me how different each project is,” he said. “There are so many different variables – what the client wants, the home, layout, how many times they’ve remodeled already. It makes it fun and exciting!”
He has always been a team player. His dream was to be a professional baseball player, and he played college baseball in Missouri. He received his Master’s in Structural Engineering from Utah State University and worked for three years as a Structural Engineer in the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.
Outside of work, Tyler likes to go on adventures with his wife and children and spend time outdoors—hiking, fishing, hunting, or dog training. His favorite home-away-from-home is his parents’ house in Colorado, and he hopes to hunt and fish in Alaska one day.
