Greg Spangler

You know someone’s a hard worker when they launch their first business in middle school. For Greg, that meant painting houses by hand every summer. He earned his first business license as a teenager and grew his painting company through word of mouth and referrals, eventually employing over 20 people. When the housing market took a hit in the early 2000s, he pivoted and spent seven years with a large luxury production builder as a quality assurance and warranty manager.

Greg joined Mountainwood Homes over 10 years ago and has been a steady presence ever since. As a Project Manager, he brings decades of hands-on experience and a sharp eye for detail. He’s worked in all areas of construction, including landscaping, painting, commercial maintenance and repair, quality control, warranty, and general contracting. “I’ve walked hundreds of homes and know what to look for.”

Clients value Greg’s calm demeanor and steady leadership throughout the construction phase. He listens well, adapts to different personalities, and consistently finds solutions to keep projects moving forward. “Working with the designer’s concepts and bringing them to life is my favorite part. I love seeing clients excited about their finished space.”

“I like to understand different characters and how to adapt to them. I enjoy people and conversation. If someone has a good sense of humor. I enjoy being around those kinds of people.”

Outside of work, Greg enjoys live sports, golfing, and fishing. His real passion is skiing, especially tackling extreme terrain on double black diamond runs. “I used to coach a lot of sports when my kids were younger. Now that they’ve grown, my weekends look a little different.”
