Cory Richardson
- Field Production Manager
I’ve worked with 12 different companies in my career, and Mountainwood stands out for the quality of work and the support you get from the whole team. There’s a vast knowledge here –and I haven’t found that anywhere else.

About
Cory Richardson is the Field Production Manager at Mountainwood Homes and leads our Production team of project managers, field craftsmen, and trade partners.
He brings over 35 years of experience working in the construction industry. At 14, he started working at his dad’s construction company, digging ditches and raking rocks. He has always loved being creative and wanted to be an artist, but he realized that drafting and building are other forms of artwork.
Cory studied engineering at Oregon State University and got to work. After working for several other companies, he started and ran his own remodeling and cabinet company for five years. But it was hard to stay behind a desk since he loved fieldwork.
“I enjoyed the ownership of the work – the quality you bring, the decisions you make, and the experience you bring to the clients –it’s all on you,” he said.
In 2018, Cory joined the Mountainwood Homes team as a Project Manager, doing what he loves.
“When I found Mountainwood Homes, I got all the aspects of ownership, quality, and client interaction without the extra stress of doing sales, bookkeeping, and working all weekend as a small business owner,” Cory added.
His steady demeanor, ability to adapt, and time management skills allow him to approach a situation calmly and solve problems.
“I love meeting the clients for the first time at the Pre-Construction Meeting and talking with them about their project and the journey we’re about to take together,” he adds. “I also like the end when we’ve completed the journey and seeing that it all happened how they planned.”
During his downtime, Cory enjoys mountain biking, gardening, surfing, and building furniture. He also loves spending time with his wife, Maggie, and their puppies, Bug, an American Staffordshire Terrier mix, and Olive, a Pomeranian Corgi mix.
